A couple of beautifully creepy creatures ...

 

 

 

 

These lil creatures are based on mummified animals 'Wrapped in linen and reverently laid to rest' from various Ancient Egyptian sites, beautifully captured by photographer Richard Barnes for National geographic, see here.  The detailing of the wrapping and folding is exquisite ... I can't help but be drawn to them despite their macabre nature.
